Library Summer opening hours 2017


From Friday 14 July 17.00 until Sunday 27 August summer opening hours apply in most of the Maastricht University Library locations. Read the details here.



This weekend XXL opening hours Randwyck Library


Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 July you are welcome to study in the Randwyck Library between 08.30 – 18.00.



XXL opening hours from 20 May – 14 June


Because of the upcoming exam period (4) the library offers you XXL opening hours from Saturday 20 May until Wednesday 14 June in three locations.



Library hours on Liberation Day


On Friday 5 May you are welcome to study in the Inner City Library and the Tapijn and University Sports Centre (USC) Learning Spaces



Library hours around King’s Day


On King’s Day, Thursday 27 April and (bridging day) Friday 28 April you are welcome to study in the University Library. However, please note, not all locations are open.



Library hours during Easter


Want to study during the upcoming Easter weekend? You are welcome in four library locations between Friday 14 April (Good Friday) and Monday 17 April (Easter Monday). Here is an overview of our opening hours.



8 April: LibSearch maintenance


On Saturday 8 April LibSearch maintenance is scheduled from 07.00 – 12.00. You can search in LibSearch during the maintenance, but a few things will not work.



XXL opening hours from 18 March – 5 April


Because of the upcoming exam period (3) the library offers you XXL opening hours from Saturday 18 March until Wednesday 5 April in three locations. Here is an overview.



No UMcard > No access at Inner City Library


During all XXL opening hours the Maastricht University (UM) Inner City Library is accessible for UMcardholders only. With this measure we want to give UMcardholders priority for a study place at the Inner City Library during the (pre) exam weeks.



Carnival and library hours


Maastricht will be celebrating Carnival from Saturday 25 February until Tuesday 28 February. Just like every year the University Library will close its doors during this popular feast. But there are two locations where you are welcome to study.



30 new study places in the Randwyck Library


Maastricht University is continuously investing in additional study places. We are happy to announce that there will be an extra 30 study places in the Randwyck Library soon.



Extended library hours during the UM Bachelor’s Day


Saturday 18 February the UM Bachelor’s Open Day will take place. Four library locations will have extended opening hours.



XXL opening hours Randwyck Library 28/29 January


Because of upcoming exams, the Randwyck Library and LINK have extended opening hours this weekend. You are welcome to study from 08.30 – 18.00.



Construction work in UNS.50


From this week until the end of April, construction work – including drilling before 10.00 – will take place at level 4 and 5 of the UM Randwyck building at UNS50. You are welcome to study in one of our other library locations.



Begin het jaar met humor [Dutch]


Januari is de maand waarin traditiegetrouw het Poëzie Parcours plaatsvindt in Maastricht. Het thema van de culturele stadswandeling is deze keer ‘humor’ en dus starten we 2017 met een heel vrolijke vitrine, met verrassende en ondeugende gedichten.

The Library+ Education update is a special edition of the Library Weekly, with education-related updates and information about our education support services you can make use of to prepare your courses.



Maastricht University has a special new study place


This impressive piece of furniture can be found in the UM Library Parlour room. It belonged to Maastricht poet and painter Pierre Kemp. Kemp wrote much of its beautiful poetry sitting at this desk.
