Cambridge Books Online provides access to the full text in PDF format of Scholarly monographs, contributed volumes and Textbooks. Only e-books purchased by Maastricht University Library are available as full-text access. Owned titles are marked with a green icon = Purchased Access, on the right-hand side of the record in the hit list. Click the “Access to” link at the top of CBO to view these or restrict your search to “Limited to Your Access” in the Advanced Search. Access is available campus-wide and remotely with VPN (staff members) or SDA (students). All the titles can be found in LibSearch.

The e-books from CBO have DRM (Digital Rights Management), so printing, copying and downloading are restricted and only available if you create an account.

1. Users may print up to 15% of a book, for personal use only.
2. Users may copy and paste up to 15% of a book, for personal use only.
3. Users may download up to 20 books that your institution has access to on a computer or mobile device for offline reading. These books will be available to read, annotate and add bookmarks to. The download is accessible as long as the institution has access. If the license is not renewed then access will also be disabled.
4. You are not allowed to do systematic downloads or to download more than 100 pdf by the hour.

If you register, you will also be able to take advantage of features like citation alerts: the CBO system can send you a free automated e-mail when books or chapters you are interested in are cited.
