Casetrack contains full judgment transcripts from the Court of Appeal and High Courts in the United Kingdom.
To search Casetrack select the ‘Search for a judgment’ link. You will then need to select which court you wish to search. By default the Court of Appeal is selected.
You can search Casetrack by either full text search or detailed search. The best strategy for searching Casetrack is to search the detailed search form using the case name field, using the name as it is given in the report citation, e.g. R v Evans. Citations usually include a year, so limit your search to that year to remove irrelevant hits from the search results. Click on the search link to begin the search. Your search results will be presented as a list. Click on the case name or view details link to see fuller details of the case.
United Kingdom Court coverage: Court of Appeal (Criminal & Civil Divisions), Administrative Court incorporating Crown Office archive and all divisions of the High Court. There are also searchable links to Supreme Court (formerly House of Lords) including an archive of House of Lords and Privy Council decisions), to selected judgments from the European Court of Human Rights and the European Court of Justice and to judgments of the Scottish Courts. Court and date coverage is variable.
