De Gruyter Open is a platform that offers open access to electronic journals covering a great variety of subjects. Besides publishing its own journals, De Gruyter Open offers various services to other publishers, for instance, it electronically produces and hosts English language journals owned by research institutes, societies, universities and other organizations in Central and Eastern Europe. More than 200 journals are now available on this site. Since De Gruyter Open was established in 2001 and no back volumes have been added, you will only find issues and articles of journals from 2002 onwards.
Several search options are available. Advanced search is appropriate if you will conduct a search for articles: here you can specify the fields to be searched such as abstract or full text. Browse options (on Subject and on Journal title) in order to find journals are supported on the homepage.
Registration is necessary to make use of the personalized features of the site. Once you have registered and you are logged is with your username and password you can store the items you have marked on the search results screens, or you can select journals for publication alerts (to receive an alert when a new issue is published on this platform). RSS feeds are available.
