In the next couple of months, several e-learning related seminars and inspiration sessions are taking place. We made a selection for you in chronological order.
Seminar ‘Video content in higher education’ on 28 March
The Special Interest Group Media & Education organises a SURF-Academy seminar about video content: ‘which platforms are available (both commercial and free) and which licensing models apply?’ Also the added value of commercial content as compared to open video material in higher education will be discussed.
For whom: lecturers, ICT coordinators and audio-visual media specialists that would like (to help) to make use of video content in their education.
Date and location: the session will take place on 28 March from 13.00 to 16.45 at the Dutch Institute for Sound and Vision in Hilversum.
No costs are involved. Registration is open until 24 March, 08.00.

Inspiration day ‘Everything you have always wanted to know about OER’ on 29 March
An event with 4 inspiring talks on open educational resources and a round table discussion on the role of the library in opening up and co-creating them. This inspiration day is part of the Open Education Week 2017.
For whom: librarians, lecturers and innovation managers.
Date and location: the session will take place on 29 March from 10.00 to 16.30 at SURF in Utrecht.
Registration is open until 28 March, 08.00.
There are no costs involved. Note that the entire day will take place in Dutch!

EDiNEB conference: ‘Contributions from Business and Economics Education to Social Innovation’
From 31 May to 2 June the Educational Innovation in Economics and Business (EDiNEB) conference will take place in Utrecht. EDiNEB is a network of professionals in educational institutions and learning centres, who strive for innovation in developing learning platforms and pedagogy for economics and business higher education. The abstract submission deadline has already been closed, however, it is still possible to register to attend.
EDULEARN: ‘Empowering learners in a digital world’
The 2017 edition of EDULEARN is taking place from 3 to 5 July in Barcelona, Spain. EDULEARN is one of the largest international education conferences for lecturers, researchers, technologists and professionals from the educational sector. The conference provides opportunity to present and discuss projects on teaching and learning methodologies and educational innovations.
The call for abstracts is open until 30 March and the registration deadline is set on 5 June.
