Take care of problems with your hair and scalp with the strengthening and vitalising Kruidvat Salon Expert Burdock Root Hair Lotion (bron: www.kruidvat.nl).
The medicinal properties of the burdock root were also known to earlier generations. In a recipe dating back to 1900 we can read that by dipping the root in a mixture of French brandy, water and double carbon dioxide soda, the hair roots attach themselves firmly to the scalp. The recipe is one of the gems you can set your eyes on at our joint stand with historical herbal books. Centre Céramique, the Natural History Museum Maastricht, the Maastricht University Library and the Regional Historic Center Limburg proudly present the most extraordinary specimens from their special collections during the Maastricht Antiquarian Book & Print Fair (MABP).
Keep heritage alive
It is important to pass this heritage on to future generations. Many of the herbal books in our vaults are in poor condition, and need to be made available again for teaching and research. Unfortunately, we lack the necessary resources. Adopt a (herbal) book and let us know what we can do for you.
Want to know more about herbal books or adoption? Or want to make an appointment for a Special Collections guided tour in the Maastricht University Library? Ask our curators at the MABP. We sincerely hope to welcome you at our stand.
