The construction work in the UM building at Universiteitssingel 50 is in its final phase. From Monday 6 March until 31 March minor construction work will actually take place at level 3 in the Randwyck Library.
The work on level 3 will start at the south side of the library building, and will take place in sections in the direction of the north site. Study rooms involved – in our floorplan ‘Find your way’ route numbers 350, 355, 365) will not be available for reservation for the time being.
UM Facility Services apologises for the inconvenience and ensures us that:
- the noise will be reduced as much as possible
- they will keep us posted on the developments, so we can inform you in detail (on the sandwich board at the library entrance and the info screen at the information desk)
- there will be absolutely no noise nuisance in the weeks prior to the next exam week.
Welcome in other library locations
To avoid any inconvenience we advise you to study in one of our other library locations – for instance the University Sports Centre Learning Spaces near the Randwyck Library.
Here you can find an overview of our locations and opening hours: http://umlib.nl/hours. The crowd tracker on this webpage can already give you an indication of available study places at the Inner City Library and the Tapijn Learning Spaces.
