GLIN contains bibliographical data of government publications and publications of universities and other scientific institutions and of theses, published in The Netherlands.
Besides standard search keys such as all words, title words, author, corporation, ISBN (book number), update date, etc, so called Brinkman keywords have been added to the references. Search tip: replace the option ‘search’ in the first window by ‘browse’, select the option ‘Brinkman keywords’ in the second window and type a (part of a) search term in the empty search field. The index (alphabetical list) of Brinkman keywords will be presented starting with your search term: you can browse the index and select a term of your choice. You can refine your search in advance by means of several drop down menus and make combinations by using Boolean operators (and, or, not). You can also make several additional selections in advance: on year, or period of publication and on material. Concerning the presentation of the search results you can choose between sort ‘by relevance’ or ‘year of publication’. Help screens are available.
Naast standaard zoeksleutels als: alle woorden, titelwoorden, auteur, corporatie, ISBN-nummer, update datum etc. zijn ook zogenaamde Brinkman-trefwoorden aan de titels toegekend. Zoek tip: door de optie ‘zoeken’ in het eerste keuzevenster te vervangen door ‘scannen’, in het tweede venster de optie Brinkman-trefwoord te selecteren en vervolgens in het zoekveld een (deel van) een zoekterm in te vullen, stap je op dat punt in de index (alfabetische lijst) van Brinkman-trefwoorden: je kunt door de index bladeren en een zoekterm selecteren. Selecteer je ‘Geavanceerd’ dan kun je jouw zoekactie vooraf verfijnen met behulp van diverse drop down menu’s en combinaties maken door middel van Booleaanse operatoren (en, of, niet). Ook kun je de wijze van sorteren kiezen (op relevantie of op jaar van uitgave) en kun je vooraf selecties maken: op basis van jaar of periode van uitgave en op materiaalsoort. Helpschermen zijn beschikbaar.
