The two Conference Proceedings citation indexes include the published literature of the most significant conferences, symposia, seminars, colloquia, workshops, and conventions in a wide range of disciplines. They cover over 148,000 journal and book-based proceedings in science, social sciences, and humanities across 256 disciplines. Conference proceedings represent the leading edge of research – revealing emerging trends and new ideas before they appear in journals.

Being a citation index, it allows searching for articles that cite a known author or work, as well as searching by subject, author, journal, and author. ‘Cited reference searching’ lets you track how any idea, innovation, or creative work has been confirmed, applied, improved, extended, or corrected, and discover who is citing your publication of interest.

The two Conference Proceedings citation indexes are available through the Web of Science platform. To search the Conference Proceedings citation indexes individually use the drop-down menu under ‘editions’ at the top of the Web of Science search screen.
