Finding information for your research is an essential skill. The library can help you.
Next to the face-to-face workshops for internal researchers the library offers remote live Q&A sessions for external researchers as well.
Learning objectives:
- identifying main concepts and search terms (keywords)
- how to set up advanced search strategies
- selecting appropriate sources
- fine-tuning your search strategies and terms
- how to translate search strategies for (systematic) reviews using different databases
- some advanced features of specific databases.
Target group: External PhDs and Research Master Students
Language: English
Course format: Remote live Q&A sessions
Prerequisites: Before attending, make sure you checked our tutorial, as these sessions are not meant to cover basics.

Planned courses
Select the desired time slot and click on Register.
Please sign up 2 weeks before the scheduled date. After signing up, the library sends you detailed instructions on how to participate in these remote ‘collaborate’ sessions, and a form to fill out to specify your questions or problems. This form has to be returned to courses-ub@maastrichtuniversity.nl at least two working days before the scheduled date.
