Do you have experience in working with Learning Management Systems with a focus on the design of online modules in an online learning environment? And are you fluent in Dutch as well as English? Then the University Library is looking for you!

About the job

In 2019 Maastricht University (UM) will start using large-scale digital assessment in all faculties. The implementation process recently started. For the support of faculty teachers, a vacancy is open at the University Library. In this temporary position, you will provide assistance around the design and implementation of an online module aimed at how to work with the new digital assessment tool (TestVision), for teaching staff at all faculties. The module is based on an existing course, but needs to be adapted and translated for UM. Furthermore, you will help in preparing and providing professionalisation activities relating to this area.

  • You will assist the Education & Support department, specifically the Digital Learning Environment team and Blended PBL Support team
  • You will work within the Learning Management System (BlackBoard and/or Canvas)
  • You will work with the new tool for digital assessment, called TestVision
  • Your job consists of translating and adapting an online course for UM
  • You will provide assistance with the creation of support documentation (manuals, guidebooks)
  • You will help in preparing and providing demonstrations, training sessions and events about digital assessment
  • You will work on average 8 hours per week

You:
are a registered student at Maastricht University
have experience with online design (for instance websites in CMS, or courses in EleUM/LMS)
have experience with Microsoft Word
have affinity with educational technology (potential and experience)
are fluent in English and Dutch
are a, creative, inventive, client driven, accurate, pragmatic worker, able to complete things
have a Social Security Number

 

Conditions of employment

We are offering a zero hour contract for student employees until the end of the project (August 2019) with a weighted average of 8 hours per week (0.2 fte). Ideally one day a week, sometimes more. The salary is in scale 4 (VSNU), depending on your age. Start as soon as possible.
