Access to the online resources: CSD and ICSD

16 Mar 2021

The UM library offers access to two crystallographic databases: the Cambridge Structural Database (CSD) and the Inorganic Crystal Structure Database (ICSD).

The CSD covers organic and metal-organic structures, including peptides and polysaccharides of up to 24 residues and mono-, di- and tri- nucleotides. The database moreover provides access to specialised software. In order to make use of the full database, you will need to download and install the CSD package.

The ICSD contains inorganic crystal structures, including pure elements and intermetallic compounds. It contains both experimental and theoretical structures.
