About data and helplines for finding them

5 Jan 2022

Are you looking for data, but no idea where and how to start? No need to worry! The library has some helplines for you when preparing for your thesis and projects. Many organisations collect data and a lot of this data is available for re-use. However, it is often not straightforward to find available datasets.

Data search

To aid you in your quest to find data, the library has updated its Data Search Support page and prepared an online module about data searching.

  • The updated Data Search Support page provides an overview of licensed and open access databases and repositories per discipline, as well as some information on helplines and answers to frequently asked questions.
  • The Data Searching module can help you develop an efficient data search strategy. It primarily covers different ways and resources to search for existing data. We also address some important considerations when re-using data.
