Spoken Word 2019: Get Lost in Excitement With Us!

27 Feb 2019

The Dominicanen Bookstore and Maastricht University Library are proud to present this year’s Spoken Word with the theme Lost in Space! Join us during the Museumnacht Maastricht on 12 April, from 20.00 to 21.00 at the Dominicanen church. Experience exciting performances from talented young artists who were inspired by the UM Library’s Special Collections.

Houston, we have a problem!

Being too lost in space can be dangerous! In the Dominicanen, we want to bring you back from space to earth. Together with the Fashionclash, we invite you to enjoy our star poets, writers, singers and performers who will blow you away with their performance pieces. Where Fashionclash protests in style, we protest with words. Covering topics such as religious protests, social manifestos, and artistic revolutions. You will be able to experience original works inspired by the Special Collections of UM Library.

Museumnacht Maastricht

On 12 April 2019, Museumnacht Maastricht presents 13 exciting venues around Maastricht where you will have the chance to discover diverse cultural activities Maastricht has to offer. Remember: your legs are meant for dancing, not for walking! Enjoy yourself during Spoken Word at the Dominicanen and use the free shuttle bus to get where you want to be. To end the event, dance the night away at the afterparty in Muziekgieterij.

Save the Date!

Are you curious how the UM Library’s Special Collections inspired our young stars? Then come join us on 12 April from 20.00-21.00 at the Dominicanen church and let yourself be entertained by talented Spoken Word artists.

Let us know you will be there via our Facebook event. For more info, head on to our Facebook page or the Museumnacht Maastricht website.
