Video can be a powerful tool for education. Prof. Letschert asserts that also researchers can use video to increase the impact of their research. In a short clip she explains how a video boosted her own research efforts on victims of war crime.

Members of UM teaching staff, who would like to use video in their education, now have a one stop portal for video recording, uploading and sharing: VideUM. This portal provides information on video production, didactics, copyright, and good practices.
Together with SBE the library has started a project on the management and support of the Mediasite lecture recording tool that is available at several UM locations (and available for teachers from all faculties).
To meet the growing need for broad video-related support among teachers, the University Library, ICTS and SBE are co-developing centralised video services for education under the project name Innovation of Video Services for Education.
