Spotted in the news letter for UM Alumni from March 2013 

Thursday 14 March about 30 private donors to the Limburg University Fund were guests in the University Library in Maastricht’s city centre.

Leonie Cornips, Extraordinary Professor of Language Culture in Limburg, shared her knowledge about bilingualism and its benefits, especially in children. Then Ingrid Wijk, the Director of the University Library, introduced the special collections.

The University Library possesses special cultural treasures such as the Jesuits collection, Charles Eyck’s documents and Pierre Kemp’s personal library. All the guests enjoyed a tour in the closed stacks where the heritage collections are housed.
