‘‘It is reassuring to know that we are all working toward our goals together.’’
‘‘The shift from my PhD to a service-oriented organisation felt like a new step. Yet, I continue a lot of what I had enjoyed during my PhD while now being embedded in a team. I am part of a team where I can apply theories and collaborate with others on data analysis. We support each other and effectively share tasks. Communication is open, and we feel comfortable asking each other for support. It is reassuring to know that we are all working toward our goals together. Additionally, the organisation values a balanced work-life approach, which has positively impacted my life.’’
‘‘Practising my Dutch in the workplace has also helped me improve my language proficiency in my daily life.’’
‘I am enjoying the process of learning and improving my Dutch in this stimulating environment, even starting to write emails in Dutch. At work, I communicate in Dutch with my team and engage with colleagues naturally. While we switch to English for business discussions, I feel at ease using Dutch with everyone. Practising my Dutch in the workplace has also helped me improve my language proficiency in my daily life.’’
