Call for proposals on Open and Online Education 2020 has been launched

Call for proposals on Open and Online Education 2020 has been launched

4 Jul 2019

Are you thinking about facilitating online guidance for students? Or looking for opportunities to create and share learning material with colleagues from partner institutes? Then it might be worthwhile diving into the recently launched incentive scheme on open and online education.

The Minister of Education, Culture and Science (OCW) makes funding available to higher education institutions. The scheme gives room for projects in two pillars: 1. Online education and 2. Open learning materials.

You can apply for a budget of maximum of €100,000 (pillar 1) or €175,000 (pillar 2), to be matched by your faculty with the same amount as requested. You can submit your project proposal until 16 December 2019.

Maastricht University (UM) has been successful four years in a row in acquiring OCW/SURF grants, and we hope to continue to build on this success.

UM EduGrant Community: for better proposals and sustainable projects

Last year EDLAB, the University Library, Academic Affairs, and faculty funding advisors launched the EduGrant community within Maastricht University in which we share education grant opportunities and experiences. We aim to work towards stronger, innovative and sustainable projects, and join forces where applicable.

UM Library, hosting the digital learning environment at the UM and providing blended PBL support, serves as linking pin for this incentive scheme. We will provide guidance for proposal preparation and support you with procedural aspects (e.g. acquiring letter of intents from the executive board).
