Database info
The U.S. Treaties & Agreements Library from HeinOnline offers a comprehensive, image-based collection of United States treaty publications. This resource includes every treaty to which the U.S. has been a party, whether currently in force, expired, or yet to be officially published. It encompasses key publications such as the Treaties and Other International Acts Series (TIAS), the United States Treaties and Other International Agreements (UST), and the Treaty Series.
In addition to these official publications, the library provides access to unofficial compilations, including Bevans’ Treaties and Other International Agreements of the United States of America, 1776-1949, and Miller’s Treaties and Other International Acts of the United States of America. The collection also features treaties and agreements entered into by the United States since 1950 that have not been published in UST or TIAS, compiled by Igor Kavass—commonly referred to as the KAV Agreements, each with a unique “KAV” number for citation.
The U.S. Treaty Library spans coverage from the mid-19th century to the present day. Additionally, the library features hundreds of congressional hearings, related books, treaty guides, indexes, and other treaty publications.
For those seeking to navigate this extensive collection, HeinOnline offers a unique U.S. Treaty Index search tool, allowing users to easily browse treaties and agreements by various criteria.
