Database trial – United Nations iLibrary

19 May 2021

The United Nations iLibrary is the comprehensive global search, discovery, and viewing source for digital content created by the United Nations. We temporarily have access to the United Nations iLibrary to test its value for the Maastricht University.

Starting to use the database

Content in the UN iLibrary can be browsed by country, subject or by Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) as well as by content type i.e. books, working papers, databases or Journals. Advanced search options exist as well.

The following topics are covered in the United Nations iLibrary:
• Agriculture Rural Development and Forestry
• Children and Youth
• Democracy and Governance
• Disarmament
• Drugs, Crime and Terrorism
• Economic and Social Development
• Environment and Climate Change
• Human Rights and Refugees
• Human Settlements and Urban Issues
• International Law and Justice
• International Trade and Finance
• Migration
• Natural Resources, Water and Energy
• Peacekeeping and Security
• Population and Demography
• Public Health
• Transportation and Public Safety
• United Nations
• Women and Gender Issues

Give it a try and let us know!

We have access until July 1, 2021 via: https://www.un-ilibrary.org.

After the trial period we will evaluate the use and your experiences. The decision for a subscription is certainly not rubber-stamped, your opinion is therefore very much valued!

Please, send your feedback to p.bouts@maastrichtuniversity.nl or a.bessems@maastrichtuniversity.nl.
Many thanks in advance for your cooperation!
