Ready to hack the future with prompts?
Join our Prompt Hackathon and and explore how AI can be used to create a design for 3D printing. During this one-day event, you will work with others on a practical challenge combining prompting, AI and 3D printing.
The challenge
Can you develop a prompt that uses AI tools such as ChatGPT to generate a working 3D-print design?
You will develop and test a prompt that takes the technical requirements of 3D printing into account. The goal is to create an STL file that can be used in slicing software such as Cura or Bambu Studio. Scale, reusability and adaptability of the prompt will also be part of the challenge.
What will you learn?
Along the way, you will have the opportunity to improve your prompting skills, learn more about 3D printing and exchange ideas with other participants. Useful prompts developed during the hackathon may also be added to Maastricht University Library’s AI Prompt Library.
Prerequisites
You do not need to be an experienced prompt engineer or 3D-printing expert to participate.
Target group
All UM students and staff are welcome.
