Digital Skills Corner

19 Sep | 12.00 CEST - 13.00 CEST

We offer guidance in this walk-in hour where you can learn about the basic and essential digital skills and technology needed for studying.

Learn about basic digital skills and get your ICT questions answered.

Course Description

At university, many tasks are digital, and sometimes you might feel that your previous education hasn’t prepared you for what is expected. No need to feel overwhelmed, that’s why we offer guidance in this walk-in hour where you can learn about the basic and essential digital skills and technology needed for studying. You can also ask questions and get answers from ICT specialists, even those questions you might think are silly or dumb. Each session will cover a different topic, nevertheless, all digital skills and ICT-related questions are welcome.

The first session will focus on staying safe online while studying at UM. Unsure which programs and apps are safe to use? We’ll provide tips and tricks for securely sharing your data, show the programs the University offers to students (for free!) and explain MFA and provide tips for safe passwords

This initiative is a collaboration between UM Library and ICTS.
