SURFnet, TU Delft and co authors from several institutes from Dutch higher education have executed an inventory on the legal and regulatory affairs on open and online education, aiming for easier and more intensive usage.

This resulted in a publication [Dutch] describing the current situation as well as practices education behold and topics to consider (now and in the near future). 

Topics covered are

  • monitoring and assessment of students in online and open education
  • implications of time and location independent education
  • acknowledgement of open education within formal educational (institutional) settings and
  • sharing of learning resources.
