In the week of October 21, two fellow librarians from Ghana, Oscar Zando and Abdulai Fuseini , came over to find out about our way of realizing library solutions within the PBL system. The Medical Faculty of the University for Development Studies at Tamale has been using PBL education since some years, with the aid of the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences of the Maastricht University (UM).

The corresponding UM Mundo project enabled  both librarians to visit our country. During one-and-a-half day they had the opportunity to discuss with experts from the University Library and the teaching staff. They were very impressed by the products and services our library is able to offer to its users, and were eager to use our PBL approach and experiences in Ghana, in a way that is applicable.

Later that week, they also travelled to Amsterdam, The Hague and Leiden for more visits to libraries and meetings with librarians, before returning to Ghana. We will surely keep in touch with them.
