Over the next year and a half, the Open Science in Education team from the University Library, in cooperation with the Npuls key team of UM, will focus on promoting the use, creation, and sharing of (semi-)open learning materials within six different focus areas (vision & policy, professionalisation, culture, collaboration, support, and infrastructure). After the summer, a total of 24 institutions will start with the OpenUp scheme, including 8 from MBO, 10 from HBO, and 6 from WO. Each institution has its own plan to improve the learning and working with digital and open learning materials. The impact scan, which was part of the application, provides us with valuable insights into the current situation and the ambitious goals we set for the next 1.5 and 5 years. Npuls supports the institutions not only financially but also facilitates collaboration and knowledge exchange among the participating parties.
By participating in the OpenUp scheme, we are taking an important step towards a more sustainable, accessible, and innovative educational landscape. We are excited about the possibilities and look forward to the impact this scheme will have on our education and students. Furthermore, these efforts align seamlessly with the international academic Open Science movement, which promotes the use and creation of open learning
