Reminder: call for proposals on Open and Online Education

Reminder: call for proposals on Open and Online Education

31 Oct 2019

Are you thinking about online facilitating guidance for students? Or looking for opportunities to share learning material and optimise the reuse of existing learning material? The Minister of Education, Culture and Science makes funding available to higher education institutions.

The incentive scheme gives room for projects in two pillars: 1. Online education and 2. Open learning materials. Project proposals can apply for a budget of maximum of either €100,000 (pillar 1) or €175,000 (pillar 2), to be matched by the faculty with the same amount as requested (in kind).

UM EduGrant Community: for better proposals and sustainable projects

Last year EDLAB, the University Library, Academic Affairs, and faculty funding advisors launched the EduGrant community within Maastricht University (UM) in which we share education grant opportunities and experiences. We aim to work towards stronger, innovative and sustainable projects, and join forces where applicable. UM has been successful four years in a row in acquiring OCW/SURF grants, and we hope to continue to build on this success.

Workshop

When you want to apply for a grant and are interested in receiving feedback and advice on your proposal, you are invited to participate in a workshop on Thursday 14 November. More information on the call and a registration form for the workshop.

Roadmap

You need to have a near to final version ready on 1 December for acquiring signatures from faculty and Executive board (via your faculty funding advisor). Deadline for submitting the project proposal at OCW is 16 December 2019.
