What is EdL@B?

EdL@B is an ‘Educational Lab’- a physical and virtual laboratory – that offers facilities for innovative teachers and educator, opportunities for creative students and chances for smart managers of small IT companies to achieve educational experiments in higher education. At the EdL@B new digital tools and education methods can be tested.

EdL@B stimulates co-creation by working in teams with different expertise in the field of IT, pedagogy and subject knowledge. So if you belong to the beforementioned target groups we welcome you to submit your idea, question or proposal for a concrete experiment.

The EdL@B joins forces with the Maastricht University Service Science Factory (www.servicesciencefactory.com) and the Document Services Valley (www.documentservicesvalley.com). EdL@B is part of the UM Leading in Learning programma and is initiated by the Maastricht University Library.

What is Service Science Factory?

Service Science Factory is an innovative place where students, researchers and professionals work in a pressure-cooker environment on inventing new or improving existing services. Companies, governmental entities or different organizations have the possibility to present their problems to dedicated project teams and – after eight weeks – receive a working solution: a complete service or its prototype.
