UM Library is cautiously opening its doors again; information for staff

Updated on 15 Jul 2021 | Published on 31 May 2020

From 25 May the Inner City Library is open again to UM students and scientists according to the Dutch government’s (RIVM) guidelines and UM protocol. We are open Monday to Friday between 09.00 and 17.00 hours.

Do you need a special library service?

Library staff will be happy to help you online via Ask your Librarian. Do you have a question or a request for literature? Or do you want to borrow a DIY smartphone kit, to enhance your smartphone for better videos? Fill in the form and we will contact you personally.

Pick up point

From now on, you can return borrowed books in the book return box in the hall of the Inner City Library. You can do this without a reservation during the opening hours of the library. The hall is also the pick up point for materials that you would like to borrow. You can send a request to Ask your Librarian for this. You will then receive a message from Ask your Librarian when the required material is available at the pick up point.

Facilities for students

We have already informed UM students of the cautious opening of the Inner City Library for study purposes (Library update 22 May last). Students can reserve a timeslot of 2.5 hours for a day of their choice. There are 3 timeslots per day. We are allowed to receive 30 students per timeslot.
On our social media channels we will keep them informed about extension of our services.
