A large book fair will be held on Saturday 17 November from 10.00 to 16.00 in the entrance of the University Library at Grote Looierstraat 17 in Maastricht. We are looking for new owners for thousands of academic works.
What kinds of books are on offer?
The fair will have general academic books as well as more specialised books on disciplines such as law, economics and medicine. These include:
- Reference books such as Wereldspiegel der 20ste eeuw: historisch, politiek en economisch overzicht van het wereldgebeuren van 1900-1950 by Hendricus Joseph Johannes Wachters
- Limburg books (‘Limburgensia’) such as Commentaren op Heinric van Veldeken’s “Sint Servaaslegende” by Jozef Maria Godfried Notermans
- Dictionaries and literary works such as Die Blechtrommel, War and Peace and Dr Zhivago
- Textbooks and manuals on topics such as tax law, management accounting, marketing services, psychodiagnostics and medical psychology
What is academic heritage worth to you?
All fair proceeds go directly to the Maastricht Academic Heritage Fund. This fund is responsible for making Maastricht University’s special collections – such as the Jesuit and Pierre Kemp Collection – digitally available to all. You can support this charity by buying a book at the fair or making a donation. All contributions go directly to the fund. More information about the fund.
