We are cautiously opening up more study places as an answer to the increasing demand from students who have problems with studying from home. Of course, we are taking all COVID-19 guidelines into account.

Study places and locations

As of 12 March, the Randwyck Library will be open with 150 places and the Paul-Henri Spaak Learning Spaces with 60 study places. Both locations are freely accessible, the first come first served principle applies. Together with the Inner City Library (250 bookable places) and the Tapijn Loods V Learning Spaces (60 places), the library provides a safe study environment for those who need it. The study places are only available to students who have problems with studying from home, students with a disability, with mental or physical problems, students who feel lonely, who are carers or parents or who do not have the right facilities to study from home.

Opening hours

In the upcoming exam period, the XXL weeks, both library locations will have extended opening hours, see umlib.nl/hours.

Book requests

Due to the COVID-19 measures, the book collections remain closed, however books can be requested via Ask your Librarian.

If you have any questions on specific library services and support, please read our FAQs. The list will be updated continuously. Other issues are welcome at Ask your Librarian.

As always, stay safe!
