16 Nov 2020

In addition to a self-paced training course and workshops in which you start creating your own Canvas course, UM Library’s Blended PBL support team offers short focused webinars that address specific features related to teaching and learning activities. By attending our canvas theme webinars, you can learn more about Canvas features and how these can enrich your course.

Canvas theme webinars

During the we address both didactics and the best workflow in Canvas. By popular demand, we added a 10th Canvas Theme Session to our series: Communicating in Canvas.

This session will address Canvas features for communicating with students. It will include ways to communicate with all students within a course, several courses or even programs, in general course areas as well as group areas. We will focus on using Canvas features such as messaging and announcements.

Give us 30 minutes of your time to help enrich your course

In 30 minutes, we address both didactics and the best workflow in Canvas. The session consists of 15 minutes explanation plus 15 minutes Q&A. Interested? Register right away!

Please note that this session will not cover discussion boards and video conferencing tools, as they were addressed during session 1 and 2 on collaborative groupwork and designing discussions in Canvas. No time to attend? Don’t worry! The 15 minute explanation will be recorded and shared via a dedicated link.

New topics

This will be the last session in the webinar-series before Christmas. In 2021, we plan to offer more sessions on tools connected to Canvas, such as Feedback Fruits and Test Vision.
