Purpose: This call for proposals supports researchers in the social sciences who expect to benefit from the application or development of digital technologies and research software, but who need additional expertise in applying these methods.

SSI in Social Sciences Call

Purpose: This call for proposals aims to help researchers in the Social Sciences who require research software or digital tooling to answer their research problem. Researchers new to applying digital research methods as well as experienced users are encouraged to apply. A successful proposal should address a research question in a Social Sciences’ discipline and describe how a digital approach will durably impact that discipline. In this call, ‘research software’ refers to digital tools or methods that contribute to the creation or analysis of research data and research results.
This call supports researchers in the social sciences with nine months of RSE time.

Purpose: This call for proposals aims to help researchers in the Humanities who require research software or digital tooling to answer their research problem. Researchers new to applying digital research methods as well as experienced users are encouraged to apply. A successful proposal should address a research question in a Humanities’ discipline and describe how a digital approach will durably impact that discipline. In this call, ‘research software’ refers to digital tools or methods that contribute to the creation or analysis of research data and research results.
This call supports researchers in the humanities with nine months of RSE time.

SSI in Machine Learning
Deadline: 1 November 2022, 14:00 CEST
Purpose: The Small Scale Initiative (SSI) Machine Learning (ML) call for proposals aims to help researchers in any discipline who want to benefit from ML techniques, but require additional expertise in applying these methods. We offer in-kind support for a collaborative project based on a use case, in which we will help you choose, develop and apply ML techniques. A successful proposal should formulate a clear research problem and describe how you expect ML techniques to contribute to solving it.
This call supports researchers in any discipline with six months of RSE time.
