Diamond Open Access Expertise Centre
The Dutch Diamond Open Access Expertise Centre is a dynamic hub where the academic community can find resources, connect with experts, and access practical support for DOA initiatives.
The DOA Expertise Centre is now online via OpenAccess.nl, backed by the Universities of the Netherlands (UNL) and coordinated by the cooperation of Dutch University Libraries and the National Library (UKB). This demonstrates the Netherlands’ commitment to reshaping academic publishing.
The centre advances the scholarly publishing model, eliminating fees for authors, readers, and institutions. DOA offers a sustainable alternative to rising subscription and publication costs.
The centre provides:
- Resources: tailored guidance and tools to support editors, researchers, institutional publishers, and librarians regarding DOA
- Events: workshops, webinars and networking opportunities to share insights and best practices for implementing and supporting DOA initiatives
- Contact: expert support for promoting DOA initiatives within institutions and communities, along with guidance on implementation and best practices
