Research practices vary widely. Some people work with AI every day, while others have never done so. Some reuse data collected by others, some share the data they collect, while others take different approaches. What are your data practices and opinions? What do you think about ethics review and data management in the social and behavioural sciences?

To provide the best possible view on this diversity, the Council of Deans for Social and Behavioural Sciences, the Disciplineoverleg Sociale Wetenschappen (DSW), has commissioned a study on data practices within the Faculties of Social and Behavioural Sciences in the Netherlands. This study is supported by the TDCC-SSH/NWO-funded project SLIPPRS-NL, with the aim of informing future national guidelines for research data and software management, specifically scoped for the social and behavioural sciences. The study is led by René Bekkers at the Department of Sociology at VU Amsterdam.

The average time to complete the survey is about 20 minutes.

Participate in the survey here.

We encourage UM departments that practice social and behavioural sciences to respond to the survey and make their voice heard.
