It’s easy to define the increasing popularity of creating a podcast: it is an accessible way to share knowledge, experience and passion in a creative and authentic manner. It also allows for great educational value, which makes it highly suitable for academia. Recording a podcast as a study assignment, or as a way to inform colleagues about your work field, is becoming more and more common at Maastricht University.
The Maastricht University Library houses two Do It Yourself (DIY) Podcast Studio’s, outfitted with RØDECaster PRO II recording equipment that balances top quality and usability, and an easy to follow step by step manual.
While the Inner City Library Podcast Studio is wildly popular, budding podcasters may also like the larger studio, with a view, on the top floor of the Randwyck Library. It comes with the same premium tech, plus a wall to wall green screen and tripod for video recording. Professional studio lighting will be added this month.
The audio and video set up in the DIY Podcast and Video Studio in the Randwyck Library.
You can book the DIY Podcast and Video Studio in the Randwyck Library via Resource Booker. We look forward to welcoming you and hearing your new podcast!
