Valentine’s embroidery workshop: Heart pendant
Embroidery is an invitation to step away from your screen, slow down, and be fully present. Create a small, hand-embroidered heart-shaped pendant, a thoughtful Valentine for yourself or someone you love. In this short and relaxing workshop, you’ll learn a few simple stitches step by step and transform fabric into a delicate keepsake.
During this workshop, you will learn three simple yet elegant embroidery stitches, explained step by step. The workshop is suitable for beginners, but also enjoyable for those with more experience. No prior embroidery experience is needed.
All materials are provided. You will practice the stitches during the workshop and finish your heart pendant at home, allowing the sense of calm to continue beyond the workshop itself.
- Theme: Valentine inspired by books from the UM Special Collections
- Duration: 1,5 hour (with some room for overrun)
- Language: English and Dutch spoken
- Experience: Relaxing, mindful, and grounding
- Take-home project: You receive all materials to complete your work at home
