Bite-size Canvas theme webinars for teaching staff
In 2021, we will continue our Canvas theme sessions. Whereas the 2020 sessions dealt with Canvas features only, the 2021 sessions include additional digital learning tools for teaching and learning activities you’d want to facilitate in your course. Examples are TestVision and Proctorio for digital and online assessment, Wooclap for interaction with your students during (online) meetings and FeedbackFruits for peer feedback and interaction around documents and videos.
Only 30 minutes of your time
Our mini-webinars address didactics, best practices, guidelines, and the best workflow for each tool. Each 30-minute session starts with 15-20 minutes of presentation, followed by a Q&A session.
TestVision for digital exams
During our first theme session -provided by Tineke de Beaumont and Maartje Hensgens- we will discuss Maastricht University’s digital exam tool TestVision.
Digital exam tools can improve the content of an exam, by offering more options for collaboration and question formats. The elimination of the paper workflow saves time and makes grading open-ended questions much easier. The whole process is contained within a secure environment, that you can access from anywhere in the world. You can collaboratively develop questions in the item-bank, and students can give and receive feedback within the software.
Participation may count toward your Continuous Professional Development depending on your CPD objectives. Go to EDLAB CPD website for more on the CPD offering and conditions.
No time to attend? Don’t worry! You can watch the recording on a dedicated Mediasite channel.
