Workshop: Hand-Embroidered Rose hip tote bag

11 Jun | 16.00 CEST - 17.30 CEST

Embroidery is an invitation to step away from your screen, slow down, and be fully present. A time when many of us could use a moment of calm and creativity. Stitch by stitch, you will create a beautiful hand-embroidered tote bag featuring a delicate rose hip design.

During this workshop, you will learn three simple yet elegant embroidery stitches, explained step by step. The workshop is suitable for beginners, but also enjoyable for those with more experience. No prior embroidery experience is needed.

All materials are provided. You will practice the stitches during the workshop and finish your book cover at home, allowing the sense of calm to continue beyond the workshop itself.

  • Theme: Rose hip design inspired flora and fauna by books from the UM Special Collections
  • Duration: 1.5 hour (with some room for overrun)
  • Language: English and Dutch spoken
  • Experience: Relaxing, mindful, and grounding
  • Take-home project: You receive all materials to complete your work at home
  • Capacity is limited: full = full
