From today until 1 January 2017 the Maastricht University (UM) subscription to the content of JoVE (Journal of Visualized Experiments) has been expanded with the section JoVE Neuroscience.

JoVE is a peer reviewed scientific video journal. The Idea of JoVE is filming experiments and publishing them in video format to make all the techniques involved in research plainly visible for anyone to see and replicate.

JoVE Neuroscience

JoVE Neuroscience is devoted to investigations of the structure, function, physiology, and pathophysiology of the brain and nervous system. Included methodologies range from molecular and cellular level studies to full central and peripheral neural systems. Potential treatment platforms and surgical techniques for neurological diseases and disorders are also presented in this section.

Users’ Advantages

Through these videos JoVE users obtain:

  • Quicker comprehension of scientific concepts and experimental methods
  • Expanded research dissemination

Besides, the videos make it easier for researchers to follow the same procedures as the original researcher.
