Library Edu-Update #3: ELI Annual Meeting 2020

Barend Last, member of UM Library Blended PBL Support team, recently went to Seattle to visit the ELI Annual Meeting. The focus was on Learning Spaces and Open Education, but also topics like Blended Learning, Instructional Design and Learning Analytics were addressed. And despite the fact that the conference got canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Barend and 46 Dutch colleagues of SURF and other institutes of higher education did an unconference, which consisted not only presentations which had been programmed at the conference but also a visit to Microsoft and Evergreen State College.

About the ELI Annual Meeting 2020

The EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative (ELI) is a community of higher education institutions and organisations committed to advancing learning through information technology innovation. The ELI Annual Meeting provides an opportunity for those interested in learning principles and practices, all dimensions of student success, and innovation in post-secondary learning to explore, network, and share. The ELI Annual Meeting programming is derived from member-driven content. As a community, they are working to create a cohesive and connected environment for all students and instructors. The ELI Annual Meeting 2020 was hosted in Seattle, WA. It ran from March 2 – 4. Watch the vlog to join their trip and learn from their findings as well:
