New additional study places will be available from 6 May in the SSC building, Bonnefantenstraat 2, 2nd floor

About 50 study places will be ready for you from 6 May,  in addition to the 90 study places on the 2nd floor. Contrary to earlier information these new study places will also be on the 2nd floor (and not on the 3rd floor). This means that the whole 2nd floor is at your disposal to study!

The mainly individual study places are suited to study with your own device: there are no hardcopy books or computers, but of course you can access the Online Library and EleUM with your own tablet and notebook. Or study with your own books. Copying and printing facilities are in place. The opening hours are Monday until Friday: 08.30 – 18.00.

More information

In cooperation with the Student Service Centre the University Library has created additional study places in the SSC building (Bonnefantenstraat 2) to meet the demands of students for more learning space. In the 1st phase 90 places were delivered on the 2nd floor, 6 May about 50 more spaces are realized.  The ground floor, where the UM registration office, the UM giftshop and Coffee Lovers are located, will also be refurbished: the wooden staircase is is removed in February and places to meet and lounge will be created in summertime. At this moment,  the ground floor is furnished with provisional tables and chairs.

The coming weeks you can read more information about these new study places at the University Library website. Do you want to know more about the necessity to provide additional study places and why we have chosen the Bonnefanten building? Read this background information.
