Preserving Archives: Maastricht University students present Special Collections documentary film
Four passionate students from University College Maastricht (UCM), one of Maastricht University’s (UM) Liberal Arts and Science programmes, made a documentary film about the university’s Special Collections. The documentary, titled “Caring Archives,” was created as part of a visual ethnographic research project. It was screened at the University Library last week.

…Open Science Festival Maastricht / UKB/LCRDM Networking Day
On Thursday 25 May, the first Open Science Festival Maastricht took place, organised by the Open Science Community Maastricht (OSCM) in collaboration with the Maastricht University Library. Several panel discussions and parallel sessions focused on the theme of Open Science. The network day of UKB (Dutch University Libraries and The Royal Library of the Netherlands)/LCRDM (National Coordination Point Research Data Management) also took place at the same venue, allowing visitors to combine the two programmes. The theme of the UKB/LCRDM networking day was ‘Research Data Curation in daily practice’.
