Be aware: we expect the national quotas for prepaid open access publishing with these publishers to run out before year-end, possibly as early as August. To avoid unwanted invoices, stay informed and make use of our support and notification channels.

    Open Science NL has awarded five grants of €400,000 each to expand citizen science hubs across Dutch research institutions. These hubs aim to professionalise citizen science by strengthening knowledge exchange, improving support systems, and encouraging public participation in scientific research.

    Starting 14 July 2025, EBSCOhost, the platform used by Maastricht University (UM) researchers and students to access multiple licensed databases, will introduce a redesigned interface. This update brings new features including personalised dashboards and new ways to share and save resources.

    The Open Science Community Maastricht (OSCM) highlights the value of preregistration in academic research through a dedicated video. Although preregistration is more common in some disciplines than others, all researchers can benefit from this practice to improve transparency and credibility.
