This workshop provides an overview of how DataverseNL works, from both the depositor and curator perspectives. Participants will learn the required and recommended steps for dataset deposit, how the review process is handled, and the available options for controlling access and reuse of research data. The session will cover best practices for metadata quality, handling sensitive or anonymised data, applying licences, and updating dataset versions. We will also discuss workflows, technical limitations, and compliance requirements.

The workshop is organised on site (you will be informed of the exact location later) and online via Teams. It is for researchers who are users of DataverseNL or plan to make a deposit, as well as UM Dataverse curators. To participate, you need to have a basic idea of research data management in Dataverse or other tools.
