New EndNote version
As of July 4, 2022 the newest version of EndNote, 20.3 is available via VDI/Student Desktop Anywhere & Athena Desktop and can be downloaded via ICT.
What does the update contains
The EndNote 20.3 update contains:
- Retraction alerts in Cite While You Write (CWYW) protect you from accidentally citing problematic sources in your manuscripts.
- Enhanced screenreaders support in the Groups panel.

User instructions
Athena Desktop users:
When you start your PC after the upgrade, EndNote X20.3 will appear in the Start menu. Click to activate (make sure you are at your physical workspace OR are connected via VPN!).
VDI/Studentdesktop users:
EndNote will be updated automatically to X20.3, there is no action required.
ICTS Software license menu users:
You can find the new download files via the ICT Service Centre License Software page
Mind the fact support for the previous versions (until 9.3.3) will be phased out. As such it is strongly recommended:
- to use the online introductory tutorial to get acquainted with the new EndNote version
- to install (or update to) the new EndNote version on your computer for home use

Thank you for your comment about the EndNote newsmessage. Since the change between version 9.3.3. and version 20 brought the newest and exciting features, the update from version 20 to 20.3 is a mere administrative one and not based on more new, exciting features. But, I do get your point and will try to include some general exciting features to make you enthousiastic.
