Are you a creative writer who can spot opportunities to bring variation into our Instagram posts? Do you have the skills to grow the following? Then we are looking for you!

As part of this role, you will join our social media team and work closely with another student employee. Together, you will manage our Instagram channel and take part in a weekly team meeting to discuss ideas, plan upcoming content and review ongoing activities.

This is what you are going to do as a social media editor

You…

  • write, create, post and schedule Instagram posts (with a minimum of two per week)
  • search, make and edit contributing photos and (short) videos
  • proactively identify stories and opportunities for Instagram content
  • ensure continuity in posts following a set plan and spot opportunities
  • work together with the social media team to develop ideas and grow and engage our Instagram community

Requirements

You…

  • are enrolled as a student at Maastricht University
  • are available for 6 flexible hours per week
  • speak/write fluent English with good writing skills
  • know ins and outs about social media and are an experienced Instagram user yourself
  • are familiar with our library services
  • preferably have photography skills
  • are a committed and motivated teamplayer
  • have affinity with Canva (available via UM Library) or a similar photo editing programme
