UM Digital Heritage Collections

The Maastricht University Library holds a number of collections, which are of significant value to society, education and research. The UM Digital Heritage Collection consists of several magazines, Maffius, renamed Observant in 1980 and completely digitized in 2018, and ContinuUM, the quarterly magazine of the UM.

This site also gets ahead of things, by giving you a glimpse of a Picture Collection of UM buildings, in the run-up to our 50th anniversary in 2026.

As Maastricht University Library, we stimulate, support and facilitate the use of the Heritage Collections and the thoughtful integration of digital technology to advance education and research. We also emphasise the social relevance of the collections. In addition to visits and exhibitions, Maastricht University Library explores innovative ways to promote and highlight the collections.
