The Maastricht University Library provides support for education and research for all faculties. The Blended PBL support team – part of the Education & Support department – advises and supports teachers and support staff in the use of activating teaching methods and ICT in education. Projects we are currently involved in are digital assessment, the implementation of the new LMS, and developing video support.


About the job

You will:

  • provide assistance to staff and students around specific e-learning applications such as audience response tools for interaction in face to face education, peer feedback tools and creating videos for education
  • contribute to our website in which we map out which ICT tools are relevant for education and which teaching methods can be supported with this
  • create support documentation (manuals, instruction videos) and distribute these via several channels (Online Library, VideUM, etc)
  • film and edit short videos, such as interviews, knowledge clips, skills clips, within the context of education and skills development
  • help in preparing and providing demonstrations, training sessions and events
  • work on average 8 hours per week, planned in a flexible manner.

are a registered student at Maastricht University
have affinity with educational technology
preferably have knowledge of and experience in making use of IT, for example AV technology like Camtasia and Snagit, recording tools or websites
have an open and enthusiastic mind for teaching activities
have good communication and presentation skills
have excellent English language skills, both in speaking and writing (knowledge of the Dutch Language is an advantage)
are a team worker, but can work independently
are creative, client driven, accurate, and pragmatic
if you are a foreign student, you have a Social Security Number and a working permit (non EU-students) as of November 2019.


Conditions of employment

We offer a job with flexible working hours (0-hour contract, average 8 hours per week). Your contract will be arranged via InterUM. Salary according scale 4.0 CAO VSNU. Start as soon as possible.
