UM Library is expanding its Digital Labs activities with a new event: the Prompt Hackathon. On 3 November, UM students and staff are invited to explore the possibilities of AI, prompting and 3D printing through a practical challenge.
The Prompt Hackathon builds on the development of the Digital Labs as a place for digital creation, experimentation and innovation. Alongside facilities such as the XR Labs, Podcast and Video Studios and 3D printing services, the Digital Labs offer activities that help the UM community develop digital skills and explore how technologies can be applied in practice.
During the hackathon, participants will work individually or in teams to develop and test an AI prompt for creating a 3D-printable design. In doing so, they can improve their prompting skills, learn more about 3D printing and exchange knowledge and ideas with other participants.
This event is organized by the Digital Labs of Maastricht University Library and The Plant with the participation of IDEE. The event is open to UM students and staff.
