The goal of the new plan, developed in addition to the Maastricht University (UM) Library Strategic Plan 2022–2026, is to define ambitions, provide direction for all collection decisions in the coming years, and guide us through long-term actions towards concrete annual plans. This ensures that our collections continue to support education and research at UM in a rapidly changing scholarly information landscape. 

The Strategic Collection Plan focuses on the key choices we make as University Library in close collaboration with faculty library committees and other UM stakeholders. Their expertise and input are essential in collection development that aligns with evolving teaching and research needs. Through this collaboration, we aim to ensure that our collections remain relevant, inclusive, and responsive to the academic community.
